Samaria Gorge
Samaria gorge is in southwest Crete, in the regional unit of Chania. It is a national park, a World's Biosphere Reserve, and a major tourist attraction in the island.

Agia Irene gorge is located in the southwest part of the island of Crete. It starts near Agia Irene village, and ends 4.5km away from Sougia. It is 7km long, and it usually takes up to 2.5 to 3 hours to walk it.

Lissos is an ancient city in southwest Crete, near the small village of Sougia. Lissos and Syia were the harbors of Elyros, the most important ancient city of the area, located near Rodovani village.
